Moruti Mthalane (1-1, KO) vs. Koki Kameda (2-1, 2 KOs), 10 rounds, 112 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Kameda jumped all over Mthalane, scoring a knockdown in the 4th round. Mthalane made it to his feet, but Koki quickly got him on the ropes for the TKO finish.

Luisito Espinosa (0-3) vs. Jorge Solis (0-2-1), 10 rounds, 126 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Both in top shape. A good back-and-forth fight, though Solis suffered a bad cut in the third. Solis was slightly busier and much more effective, particularly over the middle rounds. Solis wound up getting the nod by scores of 99-91 twice and 97-93.

Frankie Randall (3-0) vs. Marcos Maidana (1-2), 10 rounds, 140 pounds
Summary: Randall top shape, Maidana overtrained. Randall was boxing Maidana's ears off early, countering effectively when Maidana would swing wildly. That all changed on a dime, when in the third it was Randall who missed wildly and Maidana made him pay with a massive uppercut that Randall still hasn't gotten up from.

Jiro Watanabe (2-0, KO) vs. Vic Darchinyan (2-1), 10 rounds, 115 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Darchinyan got off to a great start as Watanabe had issues with Vic's awkward style. By the time Watanabe got untracked, he was behind on points and had bad swelling underneath both eyes. Darchinyan got to Watanabe in the sixth, dropping him for a short count before finishing him in the next round for a TKO.

Marvin Johnson (2-0, KO) vs. Tavoris Cloud (1-2), 10 rounds, 175 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Johnson outboxed Cloud early, but Cloud equalized things in the thirs with a knockdown. Johnson quickly got back to work but seemed to suffer some kind if injury to his hand but pressed on in the sixth. Johnson was down again in the eighth, and blood began to pour out of a cut on his forehead. Johnson would make it to the final bell. The scores read 94-94, 95-93 Cloud and....94-94, making it a majority draw.

Genaro Hernandez (0-3) vs. Alfredo Escalera (3-0), 10 rounds, 130 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Hernandez did a great job keeping Escalera at the end of his reach, landing the jab to great results in the third. Escalera, however, hurt Hernandez in the fifth and wasted no time finishing him. With a minute left in the round, Hernandez was badly hurt and Escalera let off a vicious combination that forced a referee stoppage.

Gerry Cooney (0-2) vs. Mike Tyson (1-2), 10 rounds, heavyweights
Summary: Both in top shape. Cooney did a good job weathering Tyson's early assault, but ultimately took a dip to the canvas twice in the fifth. Cooney's heart was tremendous, as he rose from an eighth round knockdown. Cooney got up from two more knockdowns in the tenth but was stopped on his feet with 14 seconds left.

Welcome Ncita (2-1) vs. Lehlo Ledwaba (0-2-1), 10 rounds, 122 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. In a very tactical battle, both guys had trouble establishing their offense early on. Ncita got off early, but Ledwaba came on as the fight wore on and had more left at the end. In the end, the scores read 97-95, 97-94, 96-95 in a very tough fight to score for...Lehlo Ledwaba!

Pernell Whitaker (3-0) vs. Adrien Broner (1-2), 10 rounds, 135 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Whitaker was outboxing Broner when the two met in a clash of heads early in the fourth, opening up a bad cut on Broner's left eye. The fight was immediately stopped, and ruled a technical draw.

Jeff Chandler (1-1) vs. Carlos Zarate (2-1, 2 KOs), 10 rounds, 118 pounds
Summary: Chandler undertrained, Zarate top shape. Chandler seemed to be getting the better of it early on with accurate counters. Zarate swung things in his favor in rounds seven through nine with precise power punching. The tenth saw both guys go for it in a memorable action round. At the end, scores were 97-94 twice and 96-95 for Zarate.

Ricardo Lopez (3-0) vs. Juanito Rubillar (1-0-2), 12 rounds, 108 pounds
Summary: Lopez a little soft, Rubillar top shape. Rubillar hung in tough, though lost nearly every round. He ended up getting dropped twice in the twelfth, but was saved by the bell, and made it to the scorecards. 119-107 twice and 119-106 were the final scores, finally getting Andy on the board with a win.

Carl Froch (1-2, KO) vs. Sakio Bika (0-3), 12 rounds, 168 pounds
Summary: Froch top shape, Bika overtrained. Froch met a guy that was as tough as him, and the two engaged in a trench warfare. Froch was outlanding Bika, but Bika made it an ugly fight in many of the rounds, and one that was tough to score. In the end, Froch closed strong in the championship rounds, and prevailed 117-114 on all three cards.

Michael Watson (0-2) vs. Vito Antuofermo (1-2), 12 rounds, 160 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. In a total war, Antuofermo exchanged wildly with Watson but just was outgunned. Watson could have fought a smarter fight, but enjoyed trading with Vito. In the seventh, he caught the Italian with a massive hookercut that put him down for the ten count.

Julian Jackson (3-0, KO) vs. Mike McCallum (2-1), 12 rounds, 154 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. As is always the case with Jackson, he is exciting because with his power punching also comes a shaky chin. He hurt McCallum in the opening round, only to go down twice in the second. McCallum had him badly hurt again and the referee saved Jackson from further punishment.

Felix Trinidad (0-3) vs. Ike Quartey (1-2, KO), 15 rounds, 147 pounds
Summary: Trinidad overtrained, Quartey top shape. Quartey did an excellent job early on using the jab and keeping Trinidad out of range. In the fifth, Quartey badly hurt Trinidad, who was lucky to make it to the bell. Trinidad was finding his groove in the middle rounds before Bazooka Ike scored a flash knockdown in the ninth. From there, it was all Quartey, though he lost a point in the 14th for holding and hitting. In the end, Quartey won a lopsided decision, with all scores reading 147-137.

Eric Ortiz (0-2-1) vs. Hugo Cazares (1-1-1), 10 rounds, 108 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Cazares had Ortiz badly hurt and down in the 2nd. In the 3rd, Ortiz was mounting a rally before a big left hook put him down for the full count.

Alejandro Montiel (0-2-1) vs. Yuri Arbachakov (0-3), 10 rounds, 112 pounds
Summary: Arbachakov undertrained, Montiel top shape. Montiel dropped Arbachakov in the first minute and had him badly cut. In the 3rd, Arbachakov's cut was deemed too bad to continue, leaving him without a win yet again.

Winky Wright (1-2, KO) vs. Gianfranco Rosi (1-2, KO), 10 rounds, 154 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Was mostly an ugly fight, though round seven featured tons of action with both guys staggered. Winky was the superior operator, boxing and parrying Rosi with ease. He picked up the decision by scores of 98-92 twice and 97-92.

Chris John (2-0-1, KO) vs. Antonio Esparragoza (1-2), 10 rounds, 126 pounds
Summary: Esparragoza bone dry, John tip-top. John caught Esparragoza with a wicked combination early on, dropping him for the full ten just two minutes into the fight. Wicked KO1.

Michael Katsidis (1-2) vs. Orzubek Nazarov (1-2, KO), 10 rounds, 135 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Katsidis dropped in the 5th from a shot most men do not get up from, but Katsidis isn't like most men. Katsidis answers with a body shot in the 7th, putting Nazarov down. Katsidis continued the assault down the stretch, putting Nazarov down in the 10th. Nazarov got up, but was battered until referee Marlon Wright stopped it with six seconds left.

Jesse James Leija (1-1-1) vs. Cornelius Boza-Edwards (2-1, KO), 10 rounds, 130 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Leija was too busy for Boza, who landed good when he got off. Leija landed in volume, winning 97-93 on all three cards.

Zab Judah (3-0, KO) vs. Pipino Cuevas (1-1-1), 10 rounds, 147 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. A right hand left uppercut combo folded Judah up in the 2nd, but he got up and survived the round unlike against Kostya Tszyu in 2001. Two more knockdowns would follow in the 4th, the last one of which Judah would not get up from, despite it coming with no time left in the round. Judah's first loss.

Joe Calzaghe (2-1, 2 KOs) vs. Charles Brewer (3-0, 2 KOs), 10 rounds, 168 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Calzaghe jabbed Brewer to death, wearing him down and causing some grotesque swelling underneath both eyes. Brewer stood his ground and forced exchanges now and then, doing his best work in the 3rd. Calzaghe handed Brewer his first loss by scores of 99-91 thrice.

Dwight Muhammad Qawi (2-1) vs. Virgil Hill (2-1), 10 rounds, 175 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Hill boxed Qawi but was put down in the 5th. Hill regained control, and the 9th round was his best round in awhile before Qawi dropped him again, this time from a huge uppercut inside. Hill didn't get up from it. Scores had Hill needing a knockout at the time of stoppage.

Miguel Cotto (2-1) vs. Aaron Pryor (3-0, 3 KOs), 10 rounds, 140 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Pryor just too superior of a fighter, though Cotto was game. Cotto had Pryor hurt once early, but Pryor recuperated quickly. Eventually, Pryor walked Cotto into a massive combination, finishing him for the ten count in the 6th.

Abner Mares (0-3) vs. Raul Perez (2-1, 2 KOs), 12 rounds, 118 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. In a fierce brawl, it was Abner Mares who opened things up in the middle rounds by cutting Perez badly. By the 8th, Perez, behind slightly on points, couldn't see because of the blood running into his eyes. Mares got his first win, and Team OG hands Lee Groves his first defeat.

Julio Cesar Green (1-1-1) vs. Reggie Johnson (0-2-1), 12 rounds, 160 pounds
Summary: An inconsistent Green and tip-top Johnson. Green allowed Johnson to dictate the fight from early on, and was surprisingly unprepared for Johnson. Johnson won most rounds pretty lopsidedly, and got a well deserved decision by scores of 119-110 twice and 118-112.

Gustavo Ballas (1-1-1) vs. Gilberto Roman (2-1), 12 rounds, 115 pounds
Summary: Roman had weight issues, Ballas top shape. Ballas badly outlanded Roman, but Roman packed more punch and hurt Ballas on a number of occasions, making it difficult to score. Gustavo Ballas bailed out the judges, fouling Roman throughout until he was disqualified while being ahead 86-85 on two cards.

Junior Jones (0-2-1) vs. Daniel Zaragoza (3-0, KO), 12 rounds, 122 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. In a fantastic fight, Zaragoza started off brilliantly avoiding Jones' counters and landing bombs. Jones turned the fight around by dropping Zaragoza in the 6th, but Zaragoza bounced back in the very next round. In the 8th, Jones was the one on his back after Zaragoza delivered a brutal straight right. Jones got up, was cut on the lip, and barely survived. In the 10th, Zaragoza went down from a Jones rally. In the 12th, with the fight hanging in the balance, Zaragoza put Jones on the canvas to perhaps steal the fight. One card had Zaragoza by 115-109, another had Jones 112-111, and the third had 113-110 for...Daniel Zaragoza!

Lennox Lewis (2-1, KO) vs. Larry Holmes (2-0-1, KO), 15 rounds, heavyweights
Summary: Both in top shape. Lewis' length gave Holmes fits, and Lennox was actually the fresher fighter down the stretch. Both guys landed a ton of jabs, but Lewis was able to keep Larry from landing his as much. In the 12th, Lewis had Holmes on the canvas. In the 15th, Lewis put Holmes down again, this time Larry wouldn't get up. Lewis was ahead 134-132, 135-131 twice at the time of stoppage.

Mark Ortega (2-1) @ Wolfgang Schiffbauer (1-2)


Matthew Saad Muhammad (2-1, KO) vs. Glen Johnson (1-2), 10 rounds, 175 pounds
Summary:  Both in top shape. Johnson had a point taken away in the 2nd, but largely controlled the early rounds. Johnson got that point back with a knockdown in the 4th, but moving forward it was all Saad, who came on strong. Saad punctuated the fight with a knockdown in the closing seconds of the 10th to win on the cards 97-90, 97-92, 96-92.

Michael Carbajal (2-1, 2 KOs) vs. Juan Alfonso Keb Baas (1-2), 10 rounds, 108 pounds
Summary: Carbajal undertrained, Keb Baas top shape. A round three knockdown got things started for a slow beginning Carbajal. Keb Baas would eventually be flattened in the 7th from a right cross.

Danny Romero (3-0, KO) vs. Hussein Hussein (1-2), 10 rounds, 112 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Romero got off to a bad start, was dropped early in the 4th and was cut badly over the right eye in the 5th. A knockdown in the 6th swung things slightly in Romero's favor, and Hussein fought him on even terms the rest of the fight. At the end, scores were 94-94, 95-94 Hussein, and 95-94 Romero for a split draw.

Robert Quiroga (1-2) vs. Martin Castillo (0-3), 10 rounds, 115 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Castillo had Quiroga badly hurt in the 2nd, but was unable to put him down. It was a back and forth fight on the inside, with Castillo taking a slight lead before a cut was opened up badly in the 6th. By the 7th, he was a bleeding mess, and Quiroga got awarded the TKO when the fight was even on the cards.

Joseph Agbeko (1-1-1, KO) vs. Lupe Pintor (2-1, KO), 10 rounds, 118 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Pintor somehow got to the iron-chinned Agbeko in the first round, dropping him in a heap for a ten count.

Gerald McClellan (1-2) vs. Felix Sturm (2-1), 10 rounds, 160 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Sturm boxed McClellan well in the early rounds, but G-Man's aggressiveness found success in round three as he had Sturm hurt. In the 5th, McClellan dropped Sturm early on in the round. Sturm made it to his feet, but was badly hurt, and was dropped again in the middle of the round. Again he rose, but this time, Frank Cappuccino only allowed him to take a few more shots before stopping the fight.

Andre Ward (3-0, KO) vs. Andre Dirrell (0-3), 10 rounds, 168 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. In a fight that stylistically many thought would trouble Ward, he had no trouble finding Dirrell with slick combinations, particularly on the inside, where he overpowered Dirrell. In the third, Ward landed a spectacular combination that dropped Dirrell to the canvas. Dirrell would get counted out.

Cory Spinks (2-0-1, KO) vs. Simon Brown (1-2), 10 rounds, 147 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Spinks did a good job boxing with Brown, landing the jab with regularity. Brown would land a powerful combination now and then, making the early rounds hard to score. In the 4th, a big cross would land for Brown, putting Spinks down. Spinks would survive using his boxing IQ. The fight was ugly for the remainder, as Spinks looked to stay out of the way of Brown's big shots. At the end, scores had Brown ahead 98-93, Spinks by 96-95, and winning 97-94, Simon Brown!

Joel Casamayor (1-2) vs. Rafael Limon (2-0-1, 2 KOs), 10 rounds, 130 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Casamayor landed a beautiful counter left in the first, dropping Limon for a flash knockdown. Casamayor countered Limon well, but Limon was there with his wild power shots too. Casamayor was cut badly in the 5th, and things only got worse. The fight was stopped in the 8th, making Limon the TKO winner, though Casamayor was ahead 67-66 on all three cards.

Terry Norris (1-1-1, KO) vs. Fernando Vargas (1-2, KO), 10 rounds, 154 pounds
Summary: Norris overtrained, Vargas in tip-top. Norris just showed he was too superior in terms of skills for Vargas. Though Vargas kept him honest with a power shot here and there, Norris mixed his shots to the head and body really well. To his credit, Vargas never went down, but in the 4th, he absorbed an incredible amount of punishment until referee Dave England stopped it.

Ivan Robinson (0-3) vs. Timothy Bradley (2-1, KO), 12 rounds, 140 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Robinson fought on surprisingly even terms with Bradley, eventually cutting him with a combination in the 4th over the right eye. The cut leaked tons of blood, and by the 5th, it was obvious Bradley was not going to be able to continue. After one punch caused it to burst, the fight was stopped early in the 5th, giving Robinson an upset and his first win.

Juan Lazcano (0-3) vs. Shane Mosley (2-1, KO), 12 rounds, 135 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Lazcano got off early and often, forcing a brawl in the beginning stages. Mosley was cut in the 2nd, and the 3rd was an action-packed round. Mosley was bothered by the cut and allowed Lazcano to make it a trench warfare kind of fight. Mosley could have outboxed Lazcano but got lured into a fight, which Lazcano was more than competitive in. In the championship rounds, it was Lazcano who was the stronger man, making a case for himself as he closed the show. One card had Mosley ahead 115-114, which was overruled by two 114-114 cards, making it a majority draw.

Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym (0-2-1) vs. Wilfredo Gomez (2-1, KO), 12 rounds, 122 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Gomez far too much for Poon, who was down early in the 2nd. But Poon showed a ton of courage, even scoring a flash knockdown in the 6th. Gomez suffered a cut in the 10th, and stormed back with an 11th round knockdown, blood streaming down his face. Poonsawat's left eye was impossible to see out of, and the fight was stopped before the round ended. Gomez was ahead by a couple of points on the cards at the time of stoppage.

Erik Morales (3-0, 2 KOs) vs. Bobby Chacon (2-1, 2 KOs), 12 rounds, 126 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Morales hurt Chacon early with body shots, dropping him in the second with one as Chacon took a trip to the canvas with a delayed reaction to a ribcage shot. Chacon got up, but was in no shape to continue, as we was dropped again, this time for the full count.

Lamon Brewster (2-1, 2 KOs) vs. Evander Holyfield (1-2, KO), 15 rounds, heavyweights

Unfortunately for Lopez, that was a huge mistake, as he got caught by a wicked hook that stiffened him against the ropes. Gamboa jumped on him and flurried, forcing the referee to stop it at 2:46 of the first.

Summary: Both in top shape. Seda was dropped in the first, had his nose broken in the third, and was down again in the fifth. Seda fought gamely, even winning a late round or two, before getting dropped again in the 10th. He made it to the final bell, but Montiel won a lopsided decision, by scores of 99-89 and 98-89 twice.

Summary: Both in top shape. Hatton had Tszyu in trouble in the 1st with a right hand, but Tszyu weathered the storm. Still, Tszyu never recovered, and in the 2nd, Hatton dropped him with a hard cross early. Tszyu got up, and twice more visited the canvas. After the third time getting up, the fight was stopped.

Summary: Both in top shape. Ayala controlled things from the outside with his masterful jab, but when the fight got in close, Canizales landed at an overwhelming rate, backing Ayala off into resetting. A combination in the 4th put Ayala down, who made it to his feet and survived a vicious onslaught. Ayala rebounded nicely, though the boxing was done and it was all slugging from there on out. Ayala did surprisingly well in that regard, fighting on even terms with Canizales. At the end of ten rounds, all three judges agreed...on a 95-95 verdict. Unanimous draw.

Riddick Bowe (2-1, KO) vs. Buster Douglas (0-3), 12 rounds, heavyweights
Summary: Both in top shape. Douglas was in top condition, fighting a tremendous inside fight with Bowe, one of the best long-armed inside fighters in the heavyweight division. Bowe's strength was difficult to overcome, however. A massive uppercut put Douglas down in the 10th and Douglas was lucky to survive the final two rounds. Scores were 119-108 across the board.

Summary: Both in top shape. A nice 135 pound slugfest. Oscar got his licks in first, backing up Rosario, who answered back with some monster shots in the 3rd. After a ridiculous pace, it finally caught up with Rosario as De La Hoya put a tired Chapo down in the 9th. Round 10 was amazing with both guys reeling at differing stages. Oscar got a second knockdown in the 11th, and almost finished the fight there. At the end of it, Oscar earned a hard fought decision by scores of 115-111 across the board.

Marvin Hagler (3-0, 3 KOs) vs. Bernard Hopkins (2-1), 12 rounds, 160 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Hagler's southpaw style was an issue for Hopkins early, as he landed straight lefts with regularity. Hopkins adjusted, made Hagler miss, and made him pay with shots to the body. In the 7th, Hagler landed a shot that cut Hopkins over the left eye in a fight that was very close until that point. Hagler more or less took over after that point, jabbing Hopkins to the cut and landing short hooks on the inside. Hopkins had a strong 12th round, but it wasn't enough. Hagler won a decision by scores of 117-112, 117-111, 116-113.

Summary: Both in top shape. In a very technical fight, Leonard narrowly outjabbed Sergio in the early going. Martinez's legs had Leonard tire by the midway point, allowing Sergio to land more power shots. It was an even fight through six. Sergio began to narrowly outland Leonard, but was landing power shots while Leonard was still landing jabs, sometimes in twos and threes. In the 10th, Sergio outlanded Leonard 42 to 20, with a majority being power shots. Leonard had a resurgence in the 11th, much needed. The 12th could have gone either way, a matter of what you liked more, Sergio's heavier punches or Leonard's busyness. One judge had it 116-113 for Leonard, another 116-113 for Martinez. The third judge had it 115-114, for the winner by split-decision...Sugar Ray Leonard! On the 115-114 card, Leonard won the 12th to narrowly get the win.

Summary: Curry undertrained, Williams overtrained. Williams got off to a great start, landing at a high clip thanks to his volume punching. Curry had a hard time with it, electing to try and counter at first when Williams stopped punching. Unfortunately, Williams didn't stop punching very often. Curry adjusted in the 5th, decided to throw in between Williams' punches, and found some success. By the 7th, Williams' output dramatically dropped, and Curry took over. In the 6th, Curry battered Williams, hitting him with an assortment of power punches that buckled his opponent, putting him down twice. The second time, Williams didn't get up, giving Curry and Terry Lane the win.

Morrison again bounced back, hurting Klitschko in the 5th. If it weren't for knockdowns, it might be a one point fight with a few rounds left. Morrison was down again in the 9th but saw the final bell. Scores were 96-91 across the board.

Summary: Both in top shape. Camacho was outclassing Uchiyama, boxing circles around him and getting in and out with combinations. Uchiyama at best was only able to get one punch off at a time, though in round 7, one punch, a right cross, put Camacho down. Camacho barely beat the count and survived the round. Camacho dusted himself off and went back to work, winning a decision via scores of 98-92 and 97-92 twice.

Summary: Both in top shape. Despite no knockdown, the 1st could've been 10-8 for Linares, who smoked Medina around the ring. Medina came back in the 2nd and landed a stellar right hand that dropped Linares. Rounds 3 and 4 were slow and could've gone either way, but Medina dropped Linares again in the 5th to get a cushion. The second half of the fight was fought very close, with Linares suffering a bad cut but persevering. When it got to the scores, they read 98-91, 97-92, 95-94 all for Medina.

Summary: Both in top shape. After a slow opening round, Augustus landed a monster hook in round two, putting Holt down, almost for the full count. Augustus duplicated the feat in the 3rd. Once Holt recovered, he began to build momentum as Augustus tired. Augustus won a much needed 8th round, but in the 10th, it got very dramatic. With 35 seconds left, Holt dropped Augustus in a heap. Augustus beat the count barely, and absorbed a ton of punishment as Holt put it on him. The bell rang just as it looked as though Holt was going to finish him off. One card read 96-91 for Augustus, another 94-93 for Holt. The deciding card read 95-92 for the winner...Emanuel Augustus!

An accidental headbutt produced a bad cut for Arce. The blood only brought the best out of Arce, who swarmed Pong in the 9th, dropping him and nearly finishing him. Arce would score two more knockdowns in the 10th, and the scores were much wider than the early action would indicate. They read 98-88 twice and 97-91 for Arce.

Summary: Both in top shape. Pacquiao jumped all over Castillo, catching him off guard. After battering him, he knocked Castillo down in the final seconds of the 1st. Castillo got up, perhaps too soon, and was not sturdy yet when Pacquiao finished him with a few seconds left in the round. TKO1.

Segura turned momentum in the 8th and won a bunch of rounds in a row, outfighting Sorjaturong on the inside. With the 15th round to go, it appeared as though Segura had a slight lead. Seconds into the final round, Sorjaturong dropped Segura in a heap! Segura made it to his feet, but would visit the canvas twice more. Though he would get up, the referee would deem he had taken enough punishment, stopping the fight. At the time of the stoppage, Segura was ahead 136-131, 135-134, and 134-134.

Summary: Pryor had been partying, Tszyu in top shape. Round one saw both fighters in dire straights at various moments in an all-time great opening round. Tszyu seemed to be in control of things when all of a sudden, Pryor landed a massive overhand right in the 4th, putting Tszyu against the ropes. An epic follow-up barrage forced the referee to have no choice but to stop it, allowing Lee Groves to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Summary: Both in top shape. After a fairly quiet few opening rounds, Montiel brought Roman to the canvas with a massive uppercut in the 4th. From there, both men were hurt at various times as defense was neglected in favor of offense. Roman got the point back from the earlier knockdown when he dropped Montiel in the 12th, nearly finishing him for good in that round. If the fight was close, Roman closed the show majorly, dropping Montiel in the 13th and 15th for good measure. The scores read 144-136, 143-136, 144-135 in favor of Roman.

Hussein's right eye became a bloody mess in round 6, and by the 7th he couldn't see, making Mthalane the winner by TKO.

Summary: Both in top shape. Keb Baas put up a surprisingly game challenge, and arguably had the lead at the halfway point of the fight as he avoided big exchanges with the all-time great. In fact, it was Keb Baas who was stronger down the stretch, seemingly winning four of the final five rounds. Somehow, however, the judges disagreed. Scores were 96-95 twice and 96-94 for Lopez, who got a controversial decision in his favor to avoid perhaps the biggest upset so far.

Summary: Both in top shape. Castillo hung in there gamely as he absorbed some heavy blows throughout, sometimes getting his shots in too. Castillo managed to save some of his energy and put up a nice rally at the end, but it was a little bit too late, as Watanabe prevailed by scores of 98-93 twice and 96-95.

Summary: Cooney in top shape, Holyfield overtrained. Holyfield wasted no time getting after Cooney, who held his own in the opening round. Holyfield turned up the heat in the 2nd and 3rd, finally buckling Cooney, who somehow stayed upright. Holyfield teed off until the referee stopped it in the 3rd.

Summary: Both in top shape. Chacon had little issue with Espinosa, beating him up for nearly the distance until dropping him twice in the final round. Espinosa got up both times, but had nothing left after the final knockdown and wound up TKOed.

Summary: Both in top shape. Neither guy established much of an advantage early on with nearly every round being close. Ncita managed to have more left down the stretch and worked Gomez to the body, slowing him down. In a surprising upset, Ncita won 97-93 and 96-94 on the cards against one 97-94 in favor of Gomez.

Summary: Froch top shape, Dirrell bone dry. Froch wasted no time staggering Dirrell in the opening 30 seconds, and never let up. Dirrell got caught on the ropes where Froch unleashed a heavy flurry, prompting the referee to stop it. An emphatic TKO1.

Summary: Both in top shape. Chandler had Pintor on his heels right away, pounding away in the opening round after forcing a knockdown in the opening seconds. Chandler had established a sizable lead through the first five rounds when Pintor began coming on. Chandler won the 9th, which was huge, as it allowed him to edge Pintor on the cards. Scores were 96-93, 95-93 twice.

Summary: Both in top shape. As can be imagined, this was a slugfest from the opening bell. The two traded on even terms until Vargas scored a 4th round knockdown, which Jackson managed to recover from almost immediately. Jackson cut Vargas in the following round, and just like that, delivered a two-punch combination that put Vargas down harshly. He wouldn't beat the count and Jackson had an explosive KO.

Felix Trinidad (0-2) vs. Simon Brown (0-2), 10 rounds, 147 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Trinidad was well in control, landing almost at will in the first handful of rounds. In the 4th, Trinidad was doing work when Brown caught him flush for a flash knockdown. Trinidad fought smarter after the knockdown. Brown had Trinidad hurt a few more times down the stretch, and the judges seemed to favor his harder punches rather than Trinidad's boxing. One judge had it 95-95 while two had it for Brown, 96-93, 95-94. Trinidad STILL without a win.

Marvin Johnson (1-0, KO) vs. Glen Johnson (1-1), 12 rounds, 168 pounds
Summary: Marvin overtrained, Glen top shape. Glen had a big round one, which Marvin answered right back. Glen cut Marvin over the left eye in the 4th and proceeded to take the next few rounds. Marvin ended up taking over down the stretch, and Glen was cut by an accidental headbut. Marvin was dominating the 12th when the fight was stopped due to Glen's cut, sending things to the scorecards. Final scores were 106-104, 105-104 twice in favor of...Marvin Johnson! A close win he pulled out.

Summary: Watson soft, Sturm top shape. Similar to the last fight, this one ended early due to a headbutt as the two clashed heads in round 10, sending things to the scorecards. Though many felt Watson did enough for the win, Sturm won via 87-84 scores thrice.

Summary: Both in top shape. An inside fight all the way, Randall forced separation with an 8th round knockdown from an uppercut. At the end of it, Randall just did more throughout, winning 116-112 on all three cards.

Summary: Both in top shape. A tactical battle of speed and power against power and speed, Whitaker jumped out to an early lead before Mosley came on late. Scores ended up reading 115-114 Mosley, 115-113 Whitaker, and a ridiculously wide 118-111 for Whitaker.

Summary: Both in top shape. It was a back and forth battle until Quiroga nearly put Morales' lights out in the 8th with a massive round. Morales, to his credit, answered back in the 9th. Both fighters landed some solid shots in the 10th. In the end, Quiroga narrowly edged Morales, winning 98-94 and 96-95 twice on the cards.

Tommy Morrison (1-0-1, KO) vs. Lamon Brewster (1-1, KO), 10 rounds, heavyweights
Summary: Morrison had been partying, Brewster in top shape. As can be expected, this was an action-packed heavyweight slugfest. Morrison got off to a good start, but found himself on the canvas in both the 5th and 6th rounds. Morrison was having a solid 5th until a Brewster right hand put him on queer street and on the canvas. Morrison was down again in the 7th, narrowly avoiding a TKO. A fourth knockdown would see Morrison get up again, but this time Pat Russell stopped it after he absorbed a few more hard shots.

Buddy McGirt (1-0-1) vs. Cory Spinks (1-0-1), 10 rounds, 147 pounds
Summary: McGirt soft, Spinks in top shape. Spinks got off to a good start, cutting McGirt above the right eye in the 2nd. McGirt evened things up with a big knockdown in the 3rd. Spinks worked the cut with his right jab in round 4, busting it open widely to the point that the fight had to be stopped. Spinks with an upset TKO.

Summary: Both in top shape. Agbeko's volume punching troubled Austin in the early goings, but he got untracked in round 4. The middle rounds all belonged to Austin, though Agbeko had a good 9th round. If the fight was close, Austin sealed it with a 10th round knockdown. Scores were 97-92 and 96-93 twice for Austin.

Summary: Both in top shape. Poonsawat managed to outman McKinney in the early going, roughing him up on the inside. He looked to have a solid lead when McKinney dropped him in the 8th out of nowhere with a hard hook, and put him down a second time while he was badly hurt. The knockdowns would end up costing Poon a win, as scores were 95-93 for McKinney and 94-94 twice for a majority draw.

Summary: Both in top shape. Castillo obliterated Lazcano, dropping him in the 3rd round, cutting him badly above the left eye in the 4th. He took a pounding before the fight was halted due to the severity of the cut in round six.

Emanuel Augustus (0-2) vs. Ivan Robinson (0-2), 10 rounds, 140 pounds
Summary: Augustus top shape, Robinson out of shape. A highly entertaining boxing match broke out in this one. The two would slug it out on occasion as well as they traded rounds. Robinson hurt his hand in the 9th round very badly after bouncing it off the top of Augustus' head, and in the 10th the fight was stopped as he couldn't continue. Scores were 86-85 Robinson, 86-85 and 87-84 for Augustus at the time of the stoppage.

John David Jackson (1-0-1) vs. Gerald McClellan (1-1), 10 rounds, 160 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. McClellan came out guns blazing, but Jackson's boxing ability gave him fits. In the fourth, a jab opened a cut above G-Man's left eye. Jackson put McClellan down in the 5th after a nice combination. McClellan was having one of his best rounds in the 6th when the cuts under his eye and in his mouth forced the fight to be stopped.

Jorge Arce (1-1, KO) vs. Danny Romero (2-0, KO), 10 rounds, 112 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Arce was able to lure Romero into a slugfest, but in the middle rounds, Romero boxed from the outside with great success. In round 7, Romero cut Arce above the left eye and then seconds later, put Arce on the canvas for a short count. Round 8 was action packed as the two slugged it out, Romero coming out ahead. Sensing he was behind, Arce went for it in the final rounds, but was dropped in the 10th as he got too careless. Scores read 96-93 thrice for Romero.

Manuel Medina (2-0) vs. Erik Morales (2-0, 2 KOs), 12 rounds, 126 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Medina was able to make it an ugly fight, frustrating Morales with his holding. Morales finally broke through in the 9th, dropping Medina with a sizzling combination. Medina would get dropped in the 11th and 12th but was saved by the bell in the final round. Scores were 117-108, 116-109 twice for Morales.

Summary: Camacho overtrained, Casamayor top shape. Camacho was able to win the rounds where the tempo was fast while Casamayor controlled rounds where he was able to limit Camacho's output while landing counters. The judges were more impressed by Camacho, who won 116-112 and 115-113 while one card read 114-114.

Summary: Both in top shape. The two battled fiercely on the inside through five rounds when Benn cracked Ward on the top of the head in the 6th, hurting his hand so badly that the fight had to be stopped immediately.

Summary: Both in top shape. Carbajal thoroughly dismantled a game Sorjaturong, who made it a brawl, one that Carbajal won every step of the way. It looked as though Sorjaturong would see the final bell, but he visited the canvas twice in the 12th and was stopped on his feet, avoiding further punishment.

Summary: Both in top shape. Spinks was lucky to make it out of the opening round, as Saad jumped all over him. Spinks was unable to make it a boxing match, and it would lead to his demise. Saad swarmed him in the 4th, battering him for 2:58 before the referee wisely stopped the assassination. Minor upset and a cap in the feather of Saad.

Summary: Both in top shape. In a nice evenly matched bout, Ortiz took control in the third and fourth after two close opening stanzas. Rubillar woke up in the fifth and sixth, staggering Ortiz in the latter. Once Rubillar got control, it seemed as though he didn't relieve it, but the rounds were mostly close. Once it reached the cards, scores were 96-94 Ortiz, 96-94 Rubillar, 95-95, for a split draw.

Joe Calzaghe (1-1, KO) vs. Sakio Bika (0-2), 10 rounds, 168 pounds
Summary: Calzaghe soft, Bika in good shape. Calzaghe had issues until round six when he dropped Bika with an uppercut. Until then, Bika was trying to make it a dirty, mauling kind of fight. Out of nowhere, Bika hurt Calzaghe in the eighth and scored a flash knockdown. Calzaghe responded with a massive ninth round where he put Bika down again. A vicious cross scored a 10th round knockdown, which would begin Bika's downfall, as he visited the canvas twice more in the round, the last one leaving him out cold.

Chris John (2-0, KO) vs. Jorge Solis (0-2), 10 rounds, 126 pounds
Summary: John had a hard time boxing in this one, as Solis was able to force exchanges early. John settled in late in the fight, but had to overcome a deficit. Eventually, the scorecards read 96-95 John and 95-95 twice, making it a majority draw.

Summary: Both in top shape. Qawi won the battle on the inside, though Cloud was game. Aided by a third round knockdown, Qawi had no issues grinding his opponent to a wide decision. 99-91, 97-93 twice in his favor.

Summary: Both in top shape. Kameda quite easily won the first four rounds, when all of a sudden, Montiel dropped Kameda in a heap. Koki made it up at the count of nine barely, and weathered the storm. Kameda would rebound and drop Montiel with a massive shot in the seventh, which Montiel would not get up from.

Junior Jones (0-2) vs. Lehlo Ledwaba (0-2), 10 rounds, 122 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. In what was a war early on, Jones managed to drop Ledwaba early in the second and nearly got him out of there. The two exchanged heavy blows for the duration of the even third round. Ledwaba landed his own Hail Mary in the fourth, putting Jones down to even things up. Things cooled off as both guys fought with less zip on their punches, very tired. The fight surprisingly reached the final bell. Scores were 95-94 Ledwaba, 94-94 even twice, making both guys still in search of their first win.

Summary: Both in top shape. After Ballas established an early lead by outboxing Darchinyan, Vic dropped Ballas in the 8th round hard. Ballas had a nice 9th and was enjoying a good 10th before Vic dropped him again out of nowhere. The final scores tabulated as 96-91 twice and 94-93 for Darchinyan.

Summary: After a slow opening salvo, Lewis battered Tyson in the second round, landing a high number of haymakers that Tyson somehow stood up for. The barrage became too much to bear in the later portion of the round, and the fight was stopped with Tyson on his feet and unresponsive.

Julio Cesar Green (0-1-1) vs. Vito Antuofermo (1-1), 12 rounds, 160 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. After falling behind the first few rounds, Green dropped Vito with a perfectly placed shot to the ribcage in round three. A 5th round knockdown was produced from a hook upstairs by Green. Vito mounted a miniature comeback but in the 8th round was absolutely pounded, somehow staying on his feet until the fight was waved off.

Summary: Leija overtrained, Escalera top shape. Outside of a few minutes, Leija got pounded until Escalera dropped him in the 8th round. Leija would go down twice more in the 11th but somehow see the final bell to the tune of wide scores of 116-108 three times.

Broner was able to rebound and take the final two rounds big, but the final scores read 114-113 thrice in favor of Katsidis, who stole a win.

Summary: Both in top shape. It was a tactical battle that was even going down the final stretch. Surprisingly, it was Judah, known to be a four-round fighter, who closed strong, helping earn him the decision by scores of 116-112 twice and 116-113.

Summary: Both in top shape. In what was a torridly paced war, both guys entered the championship rounds out of gas but with tons of heart. It was an even fight with Cotto trying to box in the late rounds and Maidana trying to brawl. Maidana produced a 13th round knockdown to seemingly take the lead. Cotto bounced back with a solid 14th that could've gone either way, and in the 15th somehow managed to knock Maidana down. The scorecards read 143-140 twice and 142-141 in favor of Cotto.

Summary: Both in top shape. Hagler opened up a cut above Taylor's right eye in the 2nd, dropped him in a heap in the 3rd. Taylor managed to win the 4th, surprisingly buzzing Hagler. Hagler responded by dropping Taylor again in the 5th. The 6th round saw the fight get stopped due to the severity of the cut Taylor was dealing with for the whole fight.

Summary: Both in top shape. Donaire barely survived two 1st round knockdowns that had him looking like he was finished before he got back to his corner. An uppercut in the 2nd produced a third knockdown. The inevitable was only delayed, as Donaire was gamely stopped while on his feet in the 4th round.

Summary: Both in top shape. Gatti managed to get dropped in the 1st round, but battled back to put Uchiyama on the defense. Gatti responded by dropping Uchiyama twice in the 2nd, though the Japanese fighter was able to beat both counts. Gatti would end up overwhelming Uchiyama in the 3rd, earning a TKO with Uchiyama hanging defenseless on the ropes.

Danny Lopez (0-2) vs. Jorge Linares (0-2), 10 rounds, 126 pounds
Summary: Both are tip-top. Linares got off to his usual hot start, dropping Lopez with a flash knockdown. Linares reproduced the feat in the 2nd, this time a legit knockdown where Lopez was hurt. Luckily the bell came soon after. Lopez had a massive 5th, hurting Linares upstairs with some heavy artillery. Lopez was arguably back in the fight with just a few rounds remaining as he took advantage of Linares' shortcomings when it came to pacing himself. The 10th was another close one and the scores read 95-95 Lopez, 96-92 Linares, and 95-93 for Linares, who scored a mild indecision upset.

Hugo Soto (1-1) vs. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (1-0-1), 10 rounds, 112 pounds
Summary: Soto inactive, Wonjongkam undertrained. A boorish fight, neither guy accomplished much until Wonjongkam cut Soto in the 5th. Prior to that, Pongsaklek was controlling the fight but not decisively. Soto had a good 6th and started the subsequent rounds off great but would allow Pongsaklek to work back into them and take the rounds by the end. Soto arguably won the final two rounds but still came up short, via 97-93 twice and 96-94.

Eddie Mustafa Muhammad (0-2) vs. Dariusz Michalczewski (2-0), 10 rounds, 175 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Dariusz frustrated Muhammad in the first couple of rounds and cauight him coming in wild with an overhand right, putting Muhammad down for nearly the full count. He made it up and took a beating the remainder of the round. Muhammad got untracked a bit in the 6th but wasn't dominating any rounds, they could've gone either way. In the 9th however, he caught Michalczewski and put him to the canvas, though only for a short count. Dariusz left no doubt, dominating the 10th and picked up the win by scores of 98-92 twice and 97-93.

Riddick Bowe (2-0, KO) vs. Vitali Klitschko (2-0, 2 KOs), 10 rounds, heavyweights
Summary: Bowe badly out of shape, Vitali perfect. After an awesome opening round from Bowe, Klitschko began finding the proper distance and popped laser like jabs and straights. Klitschko pounded Bowe in the 5th, ultimately dropping him to the canvas following a major barrage. Bowe could not beat the count and Klitschko got the TKO5.

James Toney (1-1, KO) vs. Chris Eubank (2-0, KO), 10 rounds, 168 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. A very tight matchup that saw Eubank box well on the inside, holding Toney to keep from working his fight. Eventually, Toney had found a way to box with Eubank, though he wasn't doing much more than stealing a round here and there. Eubank managed to drop Toney in the 8th, who won the 9th and 10th. Scores all favored Eubank 98-92, 96-93 twice.

Sergio Martinez (1-0-1, KO) vs. James Kirkland (1-1, KO), 12 rounds, 154 pounds
Summary: Martinez tip-top, Kirkland not satisfied with the purse. Martinez smoothly dissected Kirkland, dropping him in the 5th, 6th, and also dealing him a cut in the 8th. Martinez ultimately walked to a wide decision by scores of 119-107, 118-109, 117-109.

Cesar Seda (2-0) vs. Khaosai Galaxy (1-0-1, KO), 12 rounds, 115 pounds
Summary: Both tip-top. Seda was extremely game but Galaxy caught up to him and put him down in the 10th. That feat would be duplicated in the 11th and 12th as Galaxy won a lopsided decision by scores of 119-107 twice and 119-108.

Ricky Hatton (1-1, KO) vs. Kendall Holt (0-2), 12 rounds, 140 pounds
Summary: Both in tip-top. Holt got blasted by a sweet combination in the first 20 seconds and did not get up. Stoppage came at :40 of the opening round.

Edwin Rosario (1-1) vs. Manny Pacquiao (2-0, 2 KOs), 12 rounds, 135 pounds
Summary: Rosario on short notice, Pacquiao prime. The fight was fought at a torrid pace and at the halfway point it was a pretty even fight. Rosario was able to match Pacquiao's fire on the inside and stay away from massive lefts for the most part. Rosario ran into a left hook in the 8th and promptly took a count. A cross in the 10th would put him down early in the 10th, and though Rosario would get up, he would get blitzed and stopped standing. TKO10.

Orlando Canizales (0-1-1) vs. Rafael Marquez (1-1, KO), 15 rounds, 118 pounds
Summary: Both in top shape. Canizales jumped out to an early lead, but at the midway point, Marquez started landing at will when Canizales began to slow down. The fight was dead even through 10. Marquez put Canizales down in the 11th and had him nearly out. They traded rounds until the 14th when Marquez had Canizales down again. The late rounds ended up making the difference as Marquez won 143-139 on all three scorecards.
