Rules & Format

Each person has drafted a 15-fighter team totaling 135 points. Each team has one fighter per weight division (excluding cruiserweight and minimumweight). Each week, teams will face off in head-to-head matchups and whoever wins the most individual fights within their matchups wins the week, sort of like in fantasy baseball head-to-head setup.

Initially, this was intended to be more complex but since a lot of time has passed since this was initially created, I decided to simplify things. Fighters have multiple weight classes they can fight in in a lot of cases, but for simplicity, each week the fighters are locked into the weight classes for which they were drafted. If this goes successfully and draws interest, then there are many ways to expand on the concept in the future. But for now, it is all fun and games and just being able to run through the simulations.

As far as home team and away team goes, the home team gets to choose matchups. There are 15 fights per head-to-head matchup, and the home team gets to pick 4 of those 15 fights to be 12 rounders, as well as one of the 15 fights to be a 15-rounder. This is where a little strategy can come into play. This is also why the schedule is a round-robin plus one additional matchup to round things off at 10, with each team getting 5 home and 5 away matchups.

At the end of the round-robin schedule, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs. In the finals, it will be a best 2-out-of-3 format to determine league champion.
